Masai Mara has a variety of wild life to behold.Wildebeests, zebras and Thomson's gazelles migrate into and occupy the Mara reserve from the Serengeti plains to the south and Loita plains in the pastoral ranches to the north-east from July to October or later. Herds of all three species are also resident in the reserve.You will also have a chance to observe the 'Big Five'.
  
The 'Black Rhinoceros' are also found in the Mara. Hippopotamus are found in large groups in the Mara and Talek rivers.You also have a chance to see the world's fastest animal ,the cheetah. The plains between the Mara River and the Esoit Oloololo Escarpment are the best area for game viewing, in particular regarding lion and cheetah.

Other wildlife attractions are the antelopes, Grant's gazelles, impalas and large herds of buffaloes. For bird watchers you will have a variety of bird life to watch.Over 450 species of bird life have been identified in the park, including vultures, marabou storks, secretary birds, hornbills, crowned cranes, ostriches, long-crested Eagles, and African pygmy-falcons among others.
